 About The MN Alliance

  • A group of dedicated individuals wishing to promote the game of fastpitch softball for competitive girls who LOVE this game joined together a year ago to form a new club program that began in the fall of 2016. 
  • The MN Alliance will continue to support athletes from the Forest Lake area but is also open to those who are not from the area.
  • The MN Alliance organization is overseen by Forest Lake Area Fastpitch Association (FLAFA) Board of Directors and is guided by the FLAFA bylaws and policies.
  • Fall and summer season practices will take place in the Forest Lake area, while off season training will take place at multiple sites around the Forest Lake area. For more detailed information click on the Off Season Training tab on the left side of the page (will be available after the season starts).
  • MN Alliance teams will compete against the highest possible competition level but will stay within Minnesota for summer league games and most tournaments.  Each team will travel outside of Minnesota over 1-2 weekends in the summer of 2019 for regional and/or national tournaments. 
  • MN Alliance teams is now part of Top Tier Fastpitch and will compete against the top teams in the state for league play in the for the Summer 2019. 2018 Fall Season competition will be tailored to meet specific needs of each team and will include fall  scrimmages, tournaments, and possible college visits.
  • 2018-2019 Player fees will be a total of $2,000:
    • Other (additional) costs:
      • MN Alliance, helmet, personal equipment, and optional apparel.
      • Additional tournaments, as the team chooses.
      • Individual travel accommodations for each family.
  • Fundraising - Fundraising is not required however the individuals and teams may choose to fundraise to help lower the costs.
  • MN Alliance players will volunteer for community service projects and participate in leadership training, supporting the MN Alliance Core Covenants (see tab).
