Every coach and athlete I work with says confidence is a huge part of successful performance. Then I ask them how they develop confidence and train confidence. That is when the room goes quiet.
Don’t make the mistake of thinking that confidence is a feeling. It is an ACTION ! You DO NOT have to feel confident to act with confidence.
My Mentor in Mental Conditioning, Dr. Ken Ravizza, taught his students that Confidence is a choice. Some sport psychologists will argue this, and I believe that is because they have not spent enough time in the trenches with high-level competitors like you.
