Entering the 2011 Class 3A Girls Softball tournament, no team had more losses on the season than the Forest Lake High School Rangers with an overall record of 12-6. However that did nothing but motivate the girls from Forest Lake as a team that felt it had something to prove once it made it into the state tournament. Shannon Nelson a junior on last year's state tournament team assumed a leadership role and helped guide Forest Lake all the way to the state championship game for only the 3rd time in school history.
The next monthly board meeting will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012 @ 7 pm at the Sports Center Complex. All members are welcome to attend. Note: A General Board Meeting will not be held in March due to tryouts and the Board meeting for team selection.
This is a great opportunity to learn from one of the best offensive coaches in the country in Patrick Murphy. The offensive skills sessions will be 2.5 hours in length with only 20 campers per session to ensure individual attention. Cost is $50.
If there are any gung-ho pitchers who are chomping at the bit to start practicing....
Lucas Goring and Acceleration North will be offering skill and speed clinics at the Acceleration North training facility this upcoming year.
